DomeC Ice Temp+CO2

Notes:

This is a plot of the more recently obtained DomeC ice core data. This is a deeper core going back farther in time. It was processed using more accurate methods and better tools.

The first 400K years matches the Vostok data very well. There are some temporal discrepancies with the later Vostok data, although the DomeC time line is likely more correct. The largest differences are related to dating CH4 samples. There are also differences in the recent short term temperature variability, which while similar in magnitude, the DomeC temperature changes are more frequent and more rapid.

The DomeC data is sampled more frequently. While temperature, CO2 and CH4 measurements are all at a finer resolution, there's still a large difference between the resolution of temperature measurements and the resolution of CO2 and CH4 concentration measurements.
